The Gordon Ramsay Group Social Dining Experiment - Now recruiting participants!

We’re looking for people to take part in a social experiment at Union Street Café, part of the Gordon Ramsay Group, in Bankside (Zone 1). The experiment will be divided into two groups and commence across Sunday 7th February 2016 at 6pm and 8pm.

Participants will get to enjoy a reduced price three-course set menu (below) by the talented head chef Davide Degiovanni with welcome drink and main course wine pairing for £27.57pp, whilst taking part in one of two social experiment groups. The results taken from this experiment will be to help us understand some social aspects of dining and influence of technology in the 21st Century. Menu (gluten free):

    Burrata, winter leaves and red wine
    Risotto, radicchio and scamorza
    Budino di amaretti and chocolate.

Eligibility Criteria: To take part in this study you must…

    Be aged over 21
    Be able to answer a written questionnaire
    State any of the following dietary requirements – allergies, dairy free, vegetarian

A maximum of ten tickets can be booked by one person but each must be allocated to a person with their name, email and contact numbers provided for the experimental purposes. Please also note, groups over 6 may need to be split and put on separate tables.

You will be notified which time group you will be partaking in via email ahead of the 30th January 2016,  each sitting will last approximately 1.5 hours and all results will be anonymised. A copy of the findings will also be shared with you, if of interest.

Please note – for experimental purposes, one of the groups will require to leave their telephone and tablet devices with the receptionist, where the belongings will be stored away safely and securely throughout your meal.
