Ophelia Deroy promoted to readership

Wednesday 29 July 2015

Dr Ophelia Deroy, researcher at the Institute of Philosophy’s Centre for the Study of the Senses, has been promoted to a readership. This recognises Dr Deroy’s outstanding contribution to research in philosophy and cognitive neuroscience, notably through the ‘Rethinking the Senses' grant awarded by the AHRC (Arts & Humanities Research Council). Dr Deroy's publications in philosophy and cognitive science journals have placed her uniquely to contribute to the development of interdisciplinary projects, and she is now managing a new research project with Tate Galleries. Confirming her leading position in this growing international field of research, this promotion will allow her to take on more responsibilities at the UK and European level.
