Description

A conference celebrating the work of King's College London philosopher David Papineau. Talks will cover themes including, but not limited to, philosophy of science, philosophy of mind, metaphysics, and naturalism. The conference will also feature a number of panels made up of David's former students, and a panel of distinguished colleagues discussing London philosophy through the years.

Talks will cover themes including, but not limited to, philosophy of science, philosophy of mind, metaphysics, and naturalism.

There will also be panel discussions on themes from David's work and on London philosophy over the past 25 years, including contributions from former students of David's.

Attendance of the conference is free, and is open to all. However, registration is required. Please click here to register.

Venues

The first day of the conference will be on Friday 20th October 2017 and will take place in the Woburn Suite, Senate House.

The second day of the conference will be on Saturday 21st October 2017 and will take place in the Nash Lecture Theatre, King's College London​.

King's College London

All conference areas, including the Nash Lecture Hall and canteen, are accessible by lift (135cm x 205cm, clear door width 90cm). There are two accessible toilets, both accessible via lift from the lecture hall. There is a hearing assistance system (portable loop). Further information, including pictures, is available here.

Senate House

All conference areas, including the Woburn Suite and canteen, are on the ground floor of Senate House. There is an accessible toilet, located on the same floor as the conference room. All other areas of the building are accessible via lift. For further information, get in touch.

Transport

The nearest tube stations to Senate House are Russell Square and Goodge Street.

The nearest tube station to King's College London is Temple. 

The TfL journey planner can be used to plan your journey to the conference venues, and can display only step-free routes.
